Writings, Thoughts and Happenings

I was born in the late 1970s. I grew up in West Virginia, went to five different schools for undergraduate in three different states, finishing at the University of Pittsburgh. I had obtained degrees in English Literature and Film Studies, and had satisfied or nearly satisfied requirements for a multitude of minors. Then, upon realizing that I would need a day job in order to be able to chase my dreams in these two fields, I chose to go to law school. I am out of law school now. I live in Pennsylvania now. To know the rest you'll have to read on a bit.

I make the calls around here.

Back to the real world, or so it is as I perceive it . . . .

Okay, so I checked out my bus org grade online. I passed. It was not the highest passing grade in the class, but it was not the lowest, either.

So then I became antsy about my criminal procedure grade. I could not stand the wait, but I waited until today.

I took matters into my own hands. I will not be treated like someone who behaved poorly on a date and is anxiously awaiting a phone call. I placed a call myself. There will be no more suspense.

Well, I am graduating. No more worries. No more anxiety. Now I know. I am a graduate and there are no more surprises.

How anticlimactic. Now I am experiencing a severe case of ennui. I never knew that a stress-free life was this boring. No more battles to fight, no more arguments to prepare in my own defense. I know what the envelope contains, and it is good news. Where's the fun in that. It is like being handed an unwrapped gift and being told to go away. Now what?

I suppose there is nothing stopping me from writing for the next week-- or I could clean my house and pack up. No, I'll go see a movie, clean a little, write a little and sleep a little. If I have time, I'll read a bit for pleasure. Whatever happens, I am now fully entitled to write j.d. after my name, and to explain to everyone what in the world that means.

I have a juris doctor!!!!

What does that mean?
