Yesterday I was wearing new shoes. They're just clogs, but new (no holes in the bottoms). They are different from most of my shoes in that they've got relatively hard soles, so much so, that they make a very sharp distinctive sound when I walk in them.

And somehow that sound makes me feel more authoratative, more get down to business, more...I don't know. I'm not sure why or how, but somehow it does.
