This one from the RevGalBlogPals caught my eye, so here goes another one.

1. Share a highlight from this summer. (If you please, don't just say "our vacation to the Canadian Rockies." Give us a little detail or image. Help us live vicariously through you!)

Two, probably tie.

First, watching LB swim. He's been taking lessons forever, but at the start of the summer we pushed him just a little bit (we knew he could do it) and he realized that he could do it and so now he's our little fish. He LOVES to be in the water.

The second is the cake decorating class that I took. It was lots of work, but also lots of fun. One of the things that I like so much is the concentration and focus that it requires. It's good to have something like that.

2. Are you glad to see this summer end? Why or why not?

Yes and no. I'm a teacher, so the end of summer means back to work. I love what I do, but I also quite enjoy the time off in the summer.

One of my least favorite things of summer is the heat and when it ends, I'm a much happier camper. (yes I am aware that I live in a desert)

3. Name one or two things you're looking forward to this fall.

Halloween, love it, but we don't know what LB is going to be this year which means there will be a scramble to get a costume done for him, probably. We'll see.

I also am looking forward to the cooler times of fall and winter.

4. Do you have any special preparations or activities to mark the transition from one season to another? (Cleaning of house, putting away summer clothes, one last trip to the beach)

Just the stress of going back to work, and wondering why I didn't get nearly as much done during the summer as I'd planned or hoped.

5. I'll know that fall is really here when __________________________________.

It actually cools off and Halloween preparation starts to hit.
