A few days ago, LB asked why the sun was moving in the sky-following us.

Tonight (a mostly full moon) he first asked if the moon was full, we looked at it and decided that it was mostly full, if not completely full. Phil thought that the actual full moon was tomorrow, so that would make it pretty darn full.

He also noticed that the moon was following us and asked about that. He asked why the moon was moving, and Phil pointed out that it was actually staying in the same place as we moved. I told him that the moon was very very big, but also very very far away. But not as far away as the sun, added Phil. LB's concept of very very big is not big enough right now. He said that the moon did not look very big, aah to explain perspective to a 3 year old-well, needless to say, we skipped it.

Then he came up with the following.

"When the moon eats a lot it will be very very very," then spoken quietly, "full." Then back at normal volume, "Very very very big." Luckily there wasn't much traffic or my giggling might have caused an accident.
