Last night's reading went well. My piece was arguably the best one of the evening which is good and bad. Good in that it will stand out, bad in that I wish the other pieces could have been equally good so that the evening overall could have been a smashing success for everyone.

Now, I wait and see exactly how well the reading went. The room was full, but who was sitting in the chairs? Agents? Executives? Are any of them interested in reading my full script? Were they able to allow for the fact that a story that's supposed to encompass several locations, special effects, props and extras took place on a stage, with no sets, props and three actors?

Once again, as with much around here, it's hurry up and wait.

Overall I really enjoyed this experience, no matter what comes of it. I met four wonderful, talented individuals and had a delightful time working with them. During the rehersals, they made some magic of their own with their acting. That alone was well worth the price of admission.
