Beacon Pictures
Previous Entry :: Next Entry

Calling later in the day tends to be much more successfull when trying to get in touch with real people. I called Beacon Pictures, and spoke with an assistant. It was a very simple call "I'm a writer repped by Monteiro-Rose, I have a script that a couple of independent producers are really excited over, and I think it would be a good fit at Beacon, so I'd like to have my agent forward it on."

I got an immediate "sure, but have your agent call first" response.

So, on one hand it's a positive call and result, since they (sort of) said yes, but OTOH, I'm a bit concerned (cynical?) in that they'll find an excuse to give to Jo-Ann where they don't actually read the script.

I'll call Jo-Ann and see what she can do for me.
