I have found a way to make calls that I can handle. I am calling potential production companies, with roughly the following script: "Hi, my name is Shelley, and I'm doing some initial legwork for my agent who's with the Monteiro-Rose agency. She'd like to know if you're looking at female-driven action scripts, and if so who's the best person for her to contact."

Done. I don't have to pitch my script, I just have to research. I can research. I can play assistant. That's easy. Takes the heat off of me, gets good names for Jo-Ann and confirms that the company in question is actually looking for female-driving action scripts.

To date I've contacted and gotten info for:
