I love telling people I'm going to Korea. They get the most interesting looks on their faces. I also love answering the question of "Why?" with "Because it's there." It's more or less true.

Currently the downside(ish) is packing. I need to have black pants/shorts/skirts and white pants/shorts/skirts and pair them with t-shirts every day. The t-shirts say "Hwa Rang Do" on them and will associate the tour group. It'll be hard to get lost or separated but it won't do much for my personal style statements. Oh, and I have to take a formal dress for a "special banquet." Ah well, I won't have to stress about what all to take since it's mostly been decided...

Since I don't know what most of the itinerary refers to (the entry for Wed 8/25 is: PaekJae Kingdom BuYeo, GungNamJi, BuSoSanSung, GoRanSa Temple, NakHwaAm, HwangSanBul, JinChun, Dan Yang.) the most interesting thing on the itenerary is the times of the arrival and departure flights. We leave at 12:30AM Wed night/Thursday morning. We arrive at Inchon on Friday morning at 5AM.

Better yet, we leave at 5pm on the 8/27 and get to LAX at 1PM on 8/27.

I'm thinking I'm going to be a teensy bit jet lagged.

I still have get a million things together, change dollars in wan, figure out if there is anymore cash I need to get to the guides and if I should keep any dollars on myself. I wonder if there's any point in taking my cell phone and I need batteries for my camera (and maybe another memory chip) and discman.

Oh yeah: unless you are Rowan or Mizu I don't have your mail address. If you want a postcard from Korea, please drop me a line and give me your street address.

I haven't the *slightest* clue what kind of electronic communication will be available to me. I know they're pretty jacked in over there, but I don't know what the keyboards will look like...how easy it'll be to check my mail etc. So please send me info before the 18th. I prefer stuff to my hotmail account - friendswithtime

Yay!
