Plan definitely working

I've lost 7.5 pounds so far! Woot!

I'm doing the bicycle in the morning for 30-40 minutes at least five times a week, plus I went and bought some more dumbbells, and have a crude home gym going. But I also signed up for Weight Watchers Online (I can't handle the going-to-meetings touchy-feely-crap) and the combination of the structured eating plan and the exercise has been nicely effective. Weight Watchers is insanely easy to follow, and seems to be a very sensible balanced diet. I got turned on to WW by some co-workers who were doing it (they were doing the meetings though) and so I looked into it. My favorite "motivational" quote from the site is, "If you sorta follow the program, you'll sorta get results."
