It looms ahead

Time flies when I'm on seasonal lay-off. I'm going back to work on the golf course on Moday. Back to full time work at least until next November. Bleah. I need the money and I think I'm ready to go back to work. Yet, the novel revision isn't done and I thought I would have had it done by now.

Of course it's better to post what I got done (or how I have progressed) instead of shoulda-woulda-coulda's. Again, my mantra, keep working on it every day. It will be done.

In his journal Mike Jasper mentions something Greg Frost said about a writer can manage to write three or four hours a day before their brain turns to mush. Well, maybe I grudgingly agree to that as well. You can get a lot done in four hours if you can get a thousand words or more each hourly session. That's something to work up to. As for novel revision, I wonder if I can work twenty hours a week minimum until I get it done. Things to think about.

I'm going to the Nexus workshop tonight up in Salem. My story Yearning For Metamorphosis gets critiqued. I'll look at the comments from both groups (Wordos and Nexus) and see if I can get that story in mail in the near future.
