Looks to me that the Nets are trying to position themselves to trade for Carmelo. They just traded for two (conditional) first rounders...right? So, now they can send Favors and at least two first rounders...plus anything other than Lopez...and Harris (I hope) to Denver for Anthony. If the Nets include Harris- then Anthony has no reason to stay in NJ. However, if they swing the trade and hold on the Harris and Lopez...then they have a nucleus for a decent team. If I were Carmelo- even though I wanted to play in New York- I would go to NJ- and wait for the new arena in Brooklyn...and play with HArris and Lopez...because the owner of the Nets has more money than God- and he can make you extremely comfortably in the future. He also has enough money to bring other players to help you out later. Besides...he can make you "an offer that you can't refuse"...think about it Melo- he will get what he wants...better to keep him on your side...he will get what he wants eventually...mark my words...you can sign now- or you can sign later- he will get you...
