Anyone ever have to return something to Toys R Us? Hope not. We bought two Netbooks for our little ones for Christmas. We found the best price at Toys R Us. They were so excited. Then, they opened them- OH NO. They actually tried them. We found out that the Sylvania Netbook that Toys R Us was peddling is actually a "web browser" and not a Netbook. The Sylvania Netbooks are running an operating system called CE that cannot access nearly every site a child would like to access. So- we boxed them up- and took them back- with receipt- AND we had purchased the extended warranty. NO DICE! Electronics have to be NEW and unopened to return them. Ok. However- Toys R Us does not have functioning displays for you to try. So- you have to buy something you have NEVER seen- and then- never open it- and determine that you do not want it. What a load of crap. How do you possibly even know what it really looks like? I emailed them- I called them- I spoke with Sylvania- seems that everyone KNEW that they were not a true netbook- yet, they went ahead and sold them anyway. Also- the return policy is does not refer to this on the receipt or in the store. I was told that I should have gone on their web site and read their entire policy...well, so next time you are out shopping, before you purchase anything...STOP...get out you FUNCTIONING netbook, or laptop, and go to the stores web page and read everything...or else, you will be stuck, like me
