My NFL picks were terrible...however, I admit, I have not been following football real close. I can not believe how bad I picked the NBA already. I thought my Golden State Warriors had a lot more heart than they have. I thought with Lee, Curry, and Ellis they would be close to a .500 team. What a joke. I also thought that the New Jersey Nets would field a respectable team with their new owner. I was WAY wrong there as well. If I had that Russian's money- I would find a way to buy some players...or I would threaten them into playing a lot better than they are. I thought the Spurs were too old to do what they have been doing. I thought the Rockets would suck, especially if they lost Yao=which they have. So, I suppose that when I predict the MLB, you can ignore what I say there, as well. I definetely do not understand what the Tampa Bay Rays are doing...they can't afford their pitching- which is their core- so they let them walk- to other teams- but they spend money on "has beens" like Manny. Do they remember how that worked out with Greg Vaughn? Wade Boggs? Jose Canseco? The Rays were building something with their core players- they had the world's worst stadium- well, one of the worst...I have been to Candlestick Park...but they had fans that were interested in them. Letting Crawford walk and trading Garza was a huge mistake. Pena may have hit less than the "Mendoza line" but he provided power and a great glove a first. Man, I changed from NBA to MLB...and I am rambling on and on...maybe I can get some comments...
