I am so friggin tired of hearing how players should be in the "hall of fame" Sometimes, sportscasters talk about a player as a "certain hall of famer" when they have only just begun their career. Give me a friggin break. The last MLB Hall of fame vote elected Roberto Alomar- and they acted like he was an obvious choice. OK- let me aske you a question- did YOU EVER think of Roberto Alomat as THE best player in baseball in any single year? I didn't. I fyou elect him sinply because he was the best second baseman for a few years- then you might elect Jeff Kent for being the best hitting second baseman for a few years also. NO WAY!!! When I think of Hall of Famers- I thin of THE very nest players of their time. I think of people like Ruth, Gehrig, Foxx, Mays, Aaron, Musial, Williams, Matheson, Young, Cobb, Wagner...TRUE hall of famers- then there are people like...Dimaggio, and (Bob) Gibson, and my personal hero, Ryan, and Robinson, and Feller, and loads more. I do not see the player from the 80's and 90's and 2000's as hall of famers. Do you? Would you put Sosa in? Palmerio? Clemens? Now- we get to my personal favorite- BARROID BONDS... I really hste this guy- and I really hate when people say he would have been in the HOF without the steroids. Yeah- then he should have bypassed taking them and we could see. I don't think so- he KNEW he needed them and took them SOLELY to try to get into the HOF and to set records. Barry is a loser and hopefully will NEVER be let in
