I ask you, if that were you or me, convicted of robbing a thousandth of the number of people, for a thousandth of the amounts stolen, would we be free to appeal while still on bail?

I think for the "Little Guy", the moment a Guilty verdict is pronounced, the defendents are taken into custody right there and then, not awaiting sentencing, not awaiting appeals. They are guilty and their freedom is relinquished.

How many years will it be before these culprits ever see the inside of a prison cell?
