So, first step in company changes:
Consolidating offices and moving us to a new location, getting out of lease contracts of real estate no longer needed.

What this means to me:

Lots of planning over the next two weeks as well as packing and arrangements to move locations. Go me! Also, a calmer staff, because they know that the company is taking the time/expense to relocate, which means we're prolly going to be sticking around for a while.

What this also means:

My 3 to 4 hour daily commute (1 1/2 to 2 hours each way) will be reduced to 30 minutes max, 15 minutes to and from work, 10 on average. And that's by bus. 5 minute drive (but expensive parking), and I'll be two blocks from my gym! New location is 7th and Flower, right in the heart of downtown.

I get three hours of my day back. That's almost, *almost* like getting a raise.
