So I figured I'd start off the new year with a bit of a change. Trying out a new look for the journal, including finally getting around to using the pre-formatted text as you see below to highlight a few things that I have decided to work on this year. I've even included a To Do list of short term goals and plans, simple things, not too complicated.

Been kicking back switching from reading to watching TV to cleaning up a bit. It's been a nice quiet day to myself with Erik off to the regional event in Portland. They drove, so I hope they're okay. They weren't even sure that they were going until yesterday morning but I am glad that they did, it should be fun. With his grandmother passing away a few days ago, only a few days after he returned from visiting her at the hospital, he needed some fun.

Didn't have to work today, and stayed up late last night (though I rested/slept for a few hours on the big comfy couch at the new years eve party) so sleeping in this morning was the number one priority. Mission accomplished... sorta. I kept waking up every couple hours or so and then finally just got up to start my day.

Really taking a good look at my priorities for the year, what I really know I can accomplish, what I may be just reacing a little too far for, and what I can do to just be happier with things.

Gonna go, either continue to read or watch some I Love The 80s on VH1. *shrug*
