Meandering through my week

Already Thursday. And Thursday is already almost over. I've done a lot this week, but at the same time, feel like I've barely accomplished a thing. Took the day off yesterday, went to the doctor, to the dentist (who was out so I had to reschedule for Saturday) and exchanged some costumes from the photo shoot so we can re-do the photo shoot Sunday.

The photographer, Blue Fier (pronounced fire) isn't very happy with the pics that we did Sunday because there were issues with the background, and our makeup, and the costumes didn't quite fit. I hope the pics end up somewhere cool. He's done shoots of about half a dozen sets of twins for a photo study that might wind up in a book, which would be super cool. He seemed quite amazed at how identical Misty and I looked. Compared to how identical some of his other photo subjects were, I don't see how we even measured up, but then again, many people still have a hard time telling us apart. If ya wanna check out his work, go to www.bluefier.com. His twin project isn't on there yet, but I have a feeling that it will be.

I have a few plans for this weekend aside from a big IRC werewolf scene, the photo shoot, and possibly meeting with my Mom for a visit on Sunday. I wanted to do some shopping, both grocery and needed stuff, as well as some splurge stuff. Will probably purchase FFX-2 and maybe one other game this weekend. I would be purchasing this if it was out yet. Alas, it will not be out until later this year.

Currently wasting time with spazzy squirrel cartoons that I was introduced to at Bruce/Sarah/Dennis's housewarming party, which was quite cool, lots of "old skool" people there. Dennis, Al, Keith, Jeff. Was also just talking Star Trek with Lisa. Not a lot to be productive with today. Brett, again, is out today, and he's the main one working on this server audit.

Still not sure where things are at with my company as far as where my group is ending up. I keep hearing that we'll know "any day now" but that's is really as bad as the old Cam "two weeks" response to things. *sigh* I guess I'm ready for anything. HR has finally made some of my requested changes in regards to some of my staff. I am glad things are being figured out before we get bounced off to some other company or bounced out, whichever the case may be. I did talk to my boss, who was slightly helpful, sounds like he's fighting for us, but then again, ya never know.

I still have that opportunity that I'm hoping for in the works, and am making sure that I'll be ready for it. I meant to take my behind the whell test this week but with Erik going out to Texas this week, and my appointments, it has yet again fallen by the wayside. I hate it when that happens. Soon. Very soon. I will be driving. I'll be getting the car whether I have the licence or not, I just won't have full use of it till I have it.

So, I was hoping to have at least one more game of Star Trek with the boys before Kody left, or at least get a visit, but the boy has been way busy and before I realized, was already updating his journal from Kuwait. *sigh* Guess I'll have to wait till he gets back. Being a Marine officer and a husband and a daddy I am sure makes things relly busy. He's going to be going into Iraq pretty soon. Hoping he does some real good out there and comes home safely. Then... it's party time. Big time!

My mind is a flurry of thoughts and contemplations. On dealing with my mother, on work, on creativity, on writing, on life, the universe, and everything, on my choices of entertainment, on pets (the turtles need turtle accessories),on health, on weight, on gaming, on journalling, on time, on money.... So, um, yeah.

I need to just take a few hours and journal it all out. Maybe I'll fit that into my plans tonight. Maybe...
