Wow.

What a great show!

On a total randome fluke, we decided on Friday night to see Rock of Ages. "Rock of Ages?" you may ask...

Oh yeah!

I expected a quirky musical, and what I got was VIP treatment at a rock show with a story at a cool studio-type-place. It was very exciting and fun. They give you a lighter on your way in so you can use it during the many 80's rock balads throughout the show. There was a bar and food and there were 80's glam girls giving out shots.

It was awesome seeing Tom Lenk better known as Andrew, of the geek trio on Buffy, and Kyle Glass of Tenatious D fame, rock out on stage. The costumes and the singing were very well done. The cast comes out to hang with the audience after the show but we took off right after. If I go again, I'm so sticking around!

I'm trying to get on the guest list or discounts for next weekend, or something. It closes on the 18th. I HAVE to see this show again. Tickets are a little high otherwise, but it was an excellent show!

It was a nice change of pace to what my week had been thus far, which had been mostly staying at home watching stuff. I think we were getting stir-crazy. I had initially planned on going out to poker night, but Erik was up for something a bit more exciting. (Can't wait to do poker night again though, now that I know how to play and all)

After the show, and some conversation, I got a wild bug up my ass (what a weird expression now that I think of it) to go buy Airplane and Airplane II The Sequel. Nick had never seen either, I forgot how funny it was.

Today.. Cleaning house while Erik goes to the Mage game. Requieum game tonight.

Tomorrow will hopefully be hiking, Hike The Geek. I'm determined to drag Nick out along with me. He's been playing so much WoW I think he may have forgotten what a real landscape looks like. :)
