Attempt at Journal Entry #242

So I keep meaning to make a journal entry, really I do.

I've started and stopped, restarted, drafted and forgot about, attempted and failed at clever openings, and interesting content, set aside time that all dissapeared in other activities, bookmarked memes and whatnot to participate in...

And this morning I'm all like "Holy crap, I haven't done an entry in forever!" I've been reading everyone's stuff. I've been commenting and whatnot. But no entry of my own.

So, quick rundown of the lowdown:

Hiking has been pretty much the only regular exercise I've been getting for the past couple of weeks. I've been off and on pseudo-sick, and it's really thrown off my ability to get on track with my running schedule as planned.

I'm not sure what the deal is with my body, but it can really use a tune-up or something. I've been 'almost' getting a cold, but never fully sick. Then it gets better, and then worse. Mostly congestion, stuffiness, coughing off and on. Never fully clearing out. Maybe a lingering bug? Allergies? No idea, but it makes it difficult to run when I'm coughing and stuffed.

Scriptease (think improv comedy + strip poker) has been a regular Sunday evening outing, and has been real fun! We've been making friends with the cast, hanging out afterwards, and I think there's even plans to hang out with a couple of them tomorrow night!

Saw Billy Joel at the Staples Center last Wednesday. OMG he was AWESOME! He was such a showman, funny, a total ham, and did a lot of his greatest stuff for like 2 and a half hours! What a show! Erik was thrilled to be there too. (Which is good, seeing that they were his birthday present and all) I wish more shows were that awesome.

Theater company moving ahead. We might be working with some professional theatre planners for our first production who are familiar with how to get stuff done in the LA area. However, that is all depending on money. We're going to be applying for some grants, which is daunting and exciting at the same time.

I'll be seeing some family this coming weekend that I have not seen in a long time, and they have not seen each other for even longer. There's going to be 6 of the 8 siblings all in one place, and their attached families.

My nephew is going to be performing at Disneyland, and I'm totally going to miss it because I'm flying out to Louisville KY. I'm still annoyed that timing worked out that way. I was hoping to get a camcorder for my sister so I can at least get some footage. We'll see what time allows.

So that's the rundown. Here's to a good rest of the week!

Maybe I'll get some memes in today if time allows. The music one and the "celebrity guys who I would totally do" one have been the most appealing. :)
