Enjoy the ride.

Currently, I live in a small 'crossroad' town in the Sierra Nevada foothills. I'm raising a wonderful son, cultivating a promissing career in Real Estate and enjoying every day! I'm involved in many community activities, charitable organizations and do LOTS of Yoga! Life is a great ride. Things change, I adapt and follow the 'road' with love and humility. None of my leads from yesterday turned into anything. They might in the future though. Who knows. This business takes some getting used to. It is about building relationships. They might not buy or sell today but they may in a year or two - even five years from now. It seems to be that my job is to provide an ongoing service of information on the home market. I am to be an expert on that information.

I am learning a lot. I understand the legal and administrative workings, but there is no school that teaches what experience teaches you. That reminds me of a Story. Stuart saw an older roofer installing 'Torch' Applied rolls of Hot Tar - a delicate and tricky process - and asked him how he got the seams to ooze in just the right amount. In a good ol' boy tone, he answered Stuart, "ExParience!" We used to laugh about that. It was true, though, sometimes the only way to learn something is through trial and error - experience. That is what I'm learning now. Thankfully, I am a pretty fast learner. But this is an extensive field that will take a lot of experience to be smooth at.
