Enjoy the ride.

Currently, I live in a small 'crossroad' town in the Sierra Nevada foothills. I'm raising a wonderful son, cultivating a promissing career in Real Estate and enjoying every day! I'm involved in many community activities, charitable organizations and do LOTS of Yoga! Life is a great ride. Things change, I adapt and follow the 'road' with love and humility. HELLO WORLD!!!!

I am back online and it feels like I've been resurrected. :-)

I am taking this Sunday to just relax, watch some Football and play with my beautiful baby boy. It feels good! Allex and I both need it.

I have been working nonstop since Labor Day. Since my Internet has been down at home, I've had to work at the office. Most of the time, I've taken Allex with me and let him play on the floor, held him on my lap, or laid him in his carrier to sleep, while I worked on the computer, made phone calls or filled out paperwork. It is not as restful an environment for Allex with others talking around him, phones ringing, computers humming, etc. And I'm not as productive taking care of him and doing paperwork at the same time. But, we've managed fairly well.

Allex is healthy and happy. He gets lots of attention from EVERYONE, even strangers. He handles it well, concentrating on what they are saying, smiling at them, and sometimes laughing out loud. He goes to others well, rarely cries and never screams.

I took him for his second round of shots. He did much better this time. This time the nurse let me hold him while she gave him the shots. She encouraged me to talk to him and soothe him, telling him, “it's all right and that it would be over soon”. It worked really well, making a painful event less traumatic for both of us.

Stu and Gigi came up over Labor Day and we had a wonderful weekend together. They brought Allex some ADORABLE winter outfits that I can't wait to dress him in. The weather was beautiful allowing us to have dinner on the patio as the sun set. The next morning we ate at our favorite breakfast place in town. After that we headed up to Yosemite. We went to “Glacier Point” in memory of Stuart because it was such a special place to him. We put Allex in his backpack and Pappa insisted on carrying him. Allex absolutely loved it! He loved being up so high and watching all the people below. He grinned and cooed and giggled the whole time. After Yosemite, we said our farewells - with tears in our eyes - until next time. Next time should be around Christmas, if not sooner.

What else have I been up to? Oh yeah, I turned 27! It was a particularly nice Birthday. Kenny and Jenn sent me some fun gifts that I am really enjoying. Gigi called me that day and wished me a very nice birthday. Tami called me too. I felt so loved! Thank you all! Also that day, I had a massage done and my girlfriends at work took me out to dinner that evening. We went to a ‘Tappan House’ (like a Bennihana’s, a Japanese restaurant where they grill the food in front of you.) That was very sentimental to me. I haven’t been to one since Stuart passed away. We had a fun time.

Kind of a long entry, but I had to catch up. Here it is, end of September, and I haven't been able to post all this time. It's soooo nice to be back online at home!
