Enjoy the ride.

Currently, I live in a small 'crossroad' town in the Sierra Nevada foothills. I'm raising a wonderful son, cultivating a promissing career in Real Estate and enjoying every day! I'm involved in many community activities, charitable organizations and do LOTS of Yoga! Life is a great ride. Things change, I adapt and follow the 'road' with love and humility. • Camping Trip

I just got back from a Camping Trip with my Aunt and Uncle and their family. We went to Pescadero Memorial State Park, off of Highway 1, along the Beach, about 25 miles North of Santa Cruz. The campground is full of Redwood Trees. It was absolutely gorgeous! The trees towered above us and all around us, blocking out most light. There were ferns along the bottom in addition to every other type of dense foliage. It looked like "Jurassic Park". I realized I’d never experienced anything like it. When we would leave to go to the store or the beach, I couldn't wait to get back among the trees. There was such a peaceful, yet lively - magical even - feel about it. I think it would be a forest that the author of "The Celestine Prophecy" would call a "Virgin Forest." It is so old, you can feel the history, like the trees could talk. I instantly thought of the "Treebeard" in "Lord of the Rings". You could almost hear the trees saying "Varoom, Humph." Also, the sequel to "Ender's Game", "Speaker For the Dead" came to mind. It was amazing.

I was so pressed for time trying to fit the trip in around work and my trip planned to my sister's. I thought about canceling it more than a few times. Now, I am so glad I made the effort to go because it was such an amazing experience.
