Enjoy the ride.

Currently, I live in a small 'crossroad' town in the Sierra Nevada foothills. I'm raising a wonderful son, cultivating a promissing career in Real Estate and enjoying every day! I'm involved in many community activities, charitable organizations and do LOTS of Yoga! Life is a great ride. Things change, I adapt and follow the 'road' with love and humility. • Allex's First Thanksgiving

December is here. Christmas is here!

"Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful, since we've no place to go, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow..." The weather here feels like snow. It has been 35-45 degrees most of the time - even when it's sunny. We've been bundling up. Allex looks adorable in his hat and mittens!

We just got back from a wonderful visit in Southern California for Thanksgiving. First stop was Tom and Tami's Wednesday night. On the way there, I stopped in to see Rebekah and Kian and little Marek. (I missed Brennan and Samantha because they were in school.) We got a quick chance to catch up. They've been remodeling their house and it looks spectacular! I wish I had Rebekah's sense of style. Her decorating should be in magazines and on TV.

Next stop was Stu & Gigi's on Turkey Day. We had a lovely time visiting. And the food was delicious! The highlight of the day for me was seeing Scooter. He was just wonderful. He is getting straight A's! That includes an A+ in Honors Geometry and his 2nd year of Japanese. I am so proud of him! I really enjoyed visiting with Carol & Mike too. They seemed really good and happy! Carol had lots of fun stories. And she brought this year's school pictures of Scooter that are terrific.

The next day Allex and I went to Long Beach to visit my Dad. We had a nice dinner at home and watched the new Star Trek - my favorite thing to do with my Dad. On Saturday we shopped in Dana Point where we found lots of little goodies. Dad toured me around the area where he lives and showed me where he works. We had a very nice time. It was good to see how well he is doing.

Saturday evening Allex and I dropped by Ken & Shelley’s gaming party to see Kenny & Jenn. It was such a nice time! Ken & Shelley are always a pleasure. They have really friendly animals that Allex just loved! Everyone was gaming and in good spirits. The good energy and happiness from all was infectious! Shelley made a DELICIOUS turkey soup - what a great idea to do with left over turkey. And Jenn’s apple pie was to die for! I can’t believe it was her first one. I think she has discovered another art to pursue – culinary. :-) It was so nice seeing everyone! The perfect way to end a great trip.

We’re home now and getting back into our routine. My deal that I’ve been working on for two months closed yesterday! Woohoo So, I’ve been Christmas shopping Online – so much nicer than fighting the crowds. And it’s delivered! Can’t beat that.

    Merry Christmas!
