I love today's quote. It was a personal creed of a friend of mine who recently passed away. Every time I read or hear this quote, I think of my friend and how he lived his life. Because of him, I try to be mindful and share kindness with all who I meet.

Anyway, today's thought was about prayer and especially praying. I do lots of praying for my family and friends. I pray for world peace. I pray for our elected politicians to do right by us their constituents.

The light bulb went off today when I realized I very rarely pray for myself. I think since Michael's last two medical maladies, I have prayed for guidance and the right words to say. But that is it for me when it comes to prayer.

My thought is that maybe this is just how I am. The other insightful thought is that somewhere in my deep recesses, I may consider I am not worthy or deserving of asking for what I need from my higher power.

At this moment it is a conundrum but I am sure that meditation and reflection will bring me the answers I need.
