"All people dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their mind, wake in the morning to find that it was vanity. But the dreamers of the day are dangerous people, for they dream their dreams with open eyes, and make them come true." - D.H. Lawrence, an English author, poet, playwright, and essayist

Even though I am going to bed earlier it still does not make getting up easier.

I did get up early enough to take care of Bailey (thank you Michael), take care of my diabetes routine, and get a bite to eat and take my regular morning medications. Yea for me!!!

Well, I had a good report from my doctor. From my labs all my numbers she has been watching, all of them have dropped. She shook my hand on this.

I have lost 10 pounds in the last three months. This is so because today I am wearing a pair of jeans I haven't worn in 2.5 years.

She dropped my dosage of insulin from 41 units to 36 units. This is to be taken 18 units once in the morning and once prior to dinner. The glyburide is down to one table of 2.5 mg. Taken one half in the a.m. and the other half in the p.m.

I am to check my glucose level either two hours after dinner or prior to going to bed. This is to check to see if my hot flashes and night sweats are a symptom of my glucose level or it is peri-menopausal.

And, my shoulder, neck, and ear pain medication I had been taken baclofen has been changed to flexeril. I do hope this one works.

All-in-all the doctor has told me that I am doing well with what I have to work with and not obsess on the glucose number. Her feeling is if I stay under 180 mg and above 80 mg, I am doing well and this is what I have been doing.

Michael went in with me today and I am glad he did. Though I took notes in regard to my myriad questions, Michael was there to hear the responses and help me to remember what she said and what I had written.

I have such a great husband.
