Dispatches from the City of Angels

I'm a writer and humorist living in and writing about Los Angeles. You can catch my novel LOSING CLEMENTINE out March 6 from William Morrow. In the meantime, feel free to poke around. Over at my website you can find even more blog entries than I could fit here, as well as a few other ramblings. Enjoy and come back often.

Things are not looking good for our hero

The bad news: I have the plague. Okay, it's an upper respiratory funk. But it *could* be the plague. You never know.

The worse news: The publisher of the up-coming anthology that I'm to sign at the West Hollywood Book Fair is having non-specified issues. I have a vague notion that this has something to do with the printer. But frankly, no one seems to really know. The long and the short of it is that my poor editor has offered to sell his first born to get the books in our hands in time for the fair. And it may not be enough. We'll know by the end of the week (hopefully). And when I know, you'll know.

My woes aside, the fair should still be a rockin' event and my scheduled signing spot, the Sisters in Crime/Los Angeles tent, an awesome place to meet plenty of other authors and pick up some good reads whether I'm there or not.

I do desperately want to be there. Fingers crossed.

In the meantime, I think there's a cup of tea and a bottle of NyQuil with my name on it.
