The weekend trip to Dijon was so good for me. It was, firstly, successful. Haha. Xiang and I managed to travel there, check into hotel, explore the city and come back- no mishaps, major or minor! I guess, this is the kind of accomplishment that only someone who's travelled alone will understand... Secondly, it was not very expensive but highly enjoyable! I was so in love with the cathedrals, the art, the (mind-blowing) food. And we found a shelf of cheap English books in a book-store.

It felt fantastic to be a tourist again- a break from the whole student life in Paris thing. Not that I'm not enjoying Paris but it's so carefree to be primarily a tourist again. Looking forward to more weekend trips to other (oh, so pretty) parts of France. And, as I commented to Xiang, I feel really blessed, to shuttle between history readings, awesome history modules at Sciences Po and then seeing France/ Europe as a tourist. I am, I feel, beginning to understand the time-of-your-life label often applied to exchange experiences. Perhaps in a different way than other students, but stilll.
