There is an episode in Sex and the City where Carrie goes out on date night alone in New York. Would really require a stretch of any imagination but it was like that today, with me and Paris.

I had/ have such a mountain of work to get through that it's quite nuts. In spite of all that, I have a very pleasant Valentine's day in Paris: Paris was warm enough for me to go out without balling up unglamorously. Very overprized macaroons from Lauduree which I'm highly anticipating (they look so pretty!). Fresh and new bread from Paul's. A long walk alone. Photos, photos. Home for work, work work. Roses from my boyfriend waiting for me when I reached home. It was a perfect day. I'm so happy I had free day today. If it has been tomorrow, Valentine's would have been a completely different story.

In other news, I miss the efficiency of Singaporean bureaucracy. It's so not funny when an agency takes ONE MONTH to send me a receipt for things I sent in... I wonder how long the actual processing is going to take. Sighs.
