Plain Banter
. . . lies about science fiction, and everything else.

When the writer becomes the center of his attention, he becomes a nudnik. And a nudnik who believes he's profound is even worse than just a plain nudnik. -- Isaac Bashevis Singer

Hot chocolate

My younger daughter (14 years old) and some of her friends set up a hot chocolate and coffee stand on the sidewalk this past weekend to raise money to be donated to the Red Cross for tsunami relief. I helped a little bit (buying cocoa & cups, setting up a propane stove) but otherwise left the kids alone to do their thing.

They raised $630. That's a lot of hot chocolate.
