*It's amazing how much people can surprise you. You assume you have people figured out and one day they up and knock the wind out of you. Good or bad, you never really know someone. I can't say with any certainty that I even know myself, but I've found out a lot about who I'm not and that helps me understand who I am.

*Sabbaticals are an extravagant necessity that I hope to court at least once in my lifetime.

*I'm unnaturally worried about becoming obsolete. I'm guessing it's a product of the "new and improved" culture, or simply my mind playing dirty jokes on me. I represent two extremes, the protagonist and antagonist all rolled into one. It's nearly impossible to root for one without giving marching orders to the other.

*Everything I have to look forward to, has a pretty painful and very imposing before.
