Dark Horse The life and times of a meditative horse trainer. I'm a second generation born and raised Alaskan. I've very proud of that, my roots are here. While I want to see as much of the world as I can, I want to raise my children here. I'm a dedicated student of the horse, of life and I love to learn. I try to leave no stone unturned in my life. Nothing is good if taken at just face value there is always more, to people, an animal, a thought, a dream. I'm an intensity junky, I live my life with passion as if every action were my very last, and I love the colors that this passion has brought to me. It's my hope to share this small window of myself with my readers. If you surfed in please make yourself at home and stay a while, if your one of my loved one's who are here, I love you for all you have educated me in to make my life this amazing. |

2005-11-22 1:27 PM Have some Gratitude as a side to your Turkey! "A miracle is not the suspension of natural law,
but the operation of a higher law....." -anon “Paul Valery says, "We hope vaguely, but dread precisely". What a great reminder of the same thing that Gregg Braden says, in The Isaiah Effect: The Science of Prayer and Prophecy. "The soup of creation exists as a state of possibilities...Into the possibilities of creation; we place a feeling picture, just enough energy to allow for a new possibility. The key to this system, however, is that creation gives back precisely what our picture has shown. The picture tells the soup of creation where we have placed our attention. The emotion that we attach to our picture attracts the picture's possibility. When we don't want something - an emotion based in fear - our fear actually fuels what we claim not to want. These laws invite us to empower our choices by focusing upon the positive experiences that we choose, rather than by preparing for the negative things we don't want. Creation simply allows us a consequence of our feeling, by perpetuating what we have shown a picture of. This is the ancient secret of a lost mode of prayer, forgotten in the fourth century A.D." So you want to build a better house? A fuller life? Better health? Whether material or immaterial, we all seek more always or else we would be mired in place and go nowhere. For years I’ve repeated much as a mantra “thoughts have power”, why not decide you are disease free or on your way to becoming so. Or that your body is perfect, and wonderful, and thank it for its messages. You are what you think, feel and talk about, and we constantly forget that lesson as we have bad weeks, months, and years. Some of us feel as though we are in denial when we say that – but we are mainly in fear and it isn’t denial at all. We hold onto a perception that if you have this ONE thing you will be fulfilled. Personally coming from my own long string of “One Things” none of them made me happy until I decided for myself to be happy. No blue ribbon, no accomplishment, job, or award made me happy. I MADE ME HAPPY. The funny thing was that as soon as I decided to be happy, all the happy things I wished for started happening, and then I noticed a plethora of other things I hadn’t noticed in my past perception. Your life – no matter how difficult, hard, odd, wonderful, or otherwise belongs to you and it is you alone who holds the reins of power of either dread or hope. It is a week of Thanks and the doorway to the holiday season. We always forget to thank the universe for all its small miracles and we forget to hold gratitude daily for the thousands of gifts we receive. It’s sad that it takes a national holiday and a paid vacation day for the masses to remember that they have things to be grateful for. Perhaps it just takes being surrounded by the one’s you love to remind you that you are grateful? Speaking from someone who has less family than before, the holidays can be very hard on some, but if you are sitting here reading my writing, your alive and you have a mission, so get on with it!! I too forget at times to hold gratitude for what I have, perhaps if I have a bad day or someone I love is hurting. Perhaps a small step for all of us in what we might think is the right direction is to first think of what we want more of, or what we are most passionate about and use this week’s powerful Sagittarian energy of passion, and then ACT! Speak out loud what you want, make a list, draw a picture, whatever it takes for you to think of what you really are passionate about. Remember if you want something good in your life you have to make room for it. That’s a commonly known Feng Shui rule. Enjoy your week of Thanksgiving, eat, drink be merry and remember that every day you live this dream called life it’s worthy of a thank you and gratitude. If you have trouble thinking of something to hold gratitude for, look up to the heavens or better yet look within your own heart --- if you find gratitude inside, there will be no end to what you can create. Remember as my tattoo says “That which you are looking for, is within you” Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
