Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Whilst

Today will mostly be e-mail and phone day. Although I’ve already dealt with the phone calls. The In Box has gotten way too full, mostly due to the trip and the stuff I couldn’t answer whilst away. So, that’s this morning’s focus. This afternoon, I’ve got a hair appt, and tonight we’ve got the Baronial Council meeting.

Damn. I kept picking e-mail that involved work, so it wasn’t an answer-answer-answer day, but an open-e-mail-deal-with-project-for-an-hour, go-on-to-next-message sort of day. Bugger. But the Avant Courier booklet may just be actually finally done, whew.

We went out to supper with folks after the Council meeting (Ken had dessert and I had chips, and we both had Blackthorn cider—it was a pseudo-British pub). We had a great time, but didn’t get home until 11 p.m. I focussed back in on e-mail and things are better, although the Drafts folder is still scary. Still, I’m much farther ahead than I was. Sadly, I’m just too wiped out to write. I scribbled a few lines whilst I was at the hair dresser, but that’s about it. I need to figure out a few things about upcoming scenes anyway.

Tomorrow will be more work, more errands, and a Company of Clothiers meeting. Fun!
