substance, finally
Previous Entry :: Next Entry

Yay! Now I'm really getting this going, including a little message board space for comments (see the links below). It's always so much fun to get something new all integrated and working. Oh, and before I forget, if you want to see what I was talking about in my last journal entry, about getting the frames sorted out, check out the Escapism page that comes off my SFF website. If you came from my SFF website you are already seeing my JournalScape journal through my SFF page -- that's what I was trying to get working. Neat, huh? (So okay, it's neat to me...)

My intention in this entry is to put a little substance up, but I'm so excited about my new little journal here that it's difficult! I basically spent my weekend doing nothing--or more to the point, I mostly spent my weekend with Sean, which is not the same thing at all, but was just as relaxing and fun. So while many of the blogs I read are sharing the fun of attending ConJose (I can't help but grin at Heather's reaction to China Mielville) I got to spend a couple days with Sean where neither of us had to watch the clock to run off to work, where we had the freedom to make 5 am food runs because we were both still wide awake and hungry, where I refused to ruin my long weekend with school-work... I don't think I can articulate how nice it was...

Outside of that, work and school are much the same, final touches are being put on The Modern Art Cave (still being unveiled here in the next month or so) and I've been eyeing the writer's resources and market guides, getting geared up for a poetry writing and submission spree.

In the meantime, though, you can be entertained by my spiffy journal. You know, I never wanted to use something like blogger or livejournal, because I always thought "Hey, I know html. I can do this myself." But you know what? I do know html, and I don't have to prove it by formatting my own journal (laugh). This will save me valuable time, and let me write more, both in the journal and outside of it. What was I waiting for? (grin)

So you can comment on this entry here, or you can see a list of all the escapist topics you can comment on! And yes, I owe the discovery of "quicktopic" to Greg van Eeekhout, so visit his pages as well!

I'll entertain you kids more later!!
