warm fuzzies
Previous Entry :: Next Entry

As I write this entry, I have a very content Sierra (the big black bundle of cat-dander) stretched out against me, warm and furry, and making me think longingly, and rather self-indulgently, of going back to bed...

As if I wasn't in bed late enough today. What time did I need to be somewhere this morning? Eleven. Gloriously late hour, easy to do. Did I make it to my eleven o'clock class? No. And why did I not make it to my eleven o'clock class? Because I was very warm, cozy, and well-loved. It was far more appealing to lay in bed all curled up together than it was for us to get up and go to work and school. I think this is one of the better reasons not to make it somewhere on time. (Or, indeed, at all.) And luckily, all my classes allow a few absences for just this sort of "emergency."

This is one of the few days I don't have to work. So I have two classes to go to this afternoon and that's it. Sean probably has practice after work, but plans to give me a call after that to see what I'm up to. What a lovely, lazy little day.
