so much, so little

Both so much and so little has happened! I officially gradu-mutated (woo hoo!). Now I have to start looking for a job. Of course, I have the bar prep courses and stuff first, and the bar itself is at the end of July. So I've still got some stuff left to do before the "real world" hits.

I've decided that my "job" in the meantime is to get some short-stories written. Now keep in mind that I am notoriously bad at this. Not at writing, or so I hope, but at finishing stories I begin writing. I have some tenative goals set, though, so we'll see where that takes me.

I have received some fun poetry news. I am the featured poet in the next issue of (Storm Constantine's) The Visionary Tongue, a U.K. magazine. The poetry editor there, Michael Lohr, says the mag should be out in June, if all goes well. And one of my poems will be in the print version of The Night Lands, an anthology of William Hope Hodgson style writings.

Of course, I have also had some sad poetry news, in hearing that David Kopaska-Merkel was in a car accident, which broke several vertabrae in his neck. He's the editor of Dreams and Nightmares, and has published me, and he has work in The Modern Art Cave, and has always been wonderful to work with. So here's wishing him a speedy recovery, and a more complete one than the doctors initially expect.

And I shall write more later...
