rain

It's raining right now. It has rained every day--or at least every day I wasn't working for all the daylight hours. Oh sure, sometimes what I mean by rain is torrential thunderstorms that crop up when I'm trying to walk on the rail-trail, but you know, I think that counts. All I want is a nice day! And even worse, the last couple of evenings it's been COLD!! It's summer--it's not allowed to be COLD!

I've been doing a lot of Compuhigh work the last few weeks. I was hired as the Chair of the History Dept., (well, Social Studies, I suppose, but I like "history" better) but to start I've really been subbing in a few math classes. It's been an incredible amount of fun, even though it does make for three jobs. I did not, however, go to the bar tonight to work--I figure that it's going to be kinda slow, with the rain and all. I called Caressa and told her to call me if she needed me. It's generally a bit slower in summer anyway.

Except, of course, that summer is supposed to be WARM! But I digress.

I think I need ice-cream.

Sean has a theory. He and some of his friends would go get ice-cream at lunch in the middle of winter. The theory was this since ice-cream is cold, it makes the cold in winter feel warmer--since eating ice-cream makes you colder, and thus other things feel warmer by comparison. See?

So, logic be-damned, I'm going to go eat ice-cream. Blast it all, where's my summer?
