The ferrets are: chowing down

Weather: beau-tiful

Reading: My Ishmael , Daniel Quinn. WOnderful book that I recommend greatly, substantially, to everyone. I read Ishmael, last week and it's good, too, and not all the same material is covered. THey are novels, and read like good novels, page turners, but there is incredible substance in them.

Listening to in the car: Duskin , Grace Livingston Hill

My little boy has come home. He lived in Texass (misspelling intended) for three years and now he has come home to civilization. I am glad. He is staying with us and our dog and our ferrets and helping his little sister move from one crummy neighborhood to a different and less crummy (though strange) neighborhood. He is happy to be home, too.

My garden is doing pretty good except for the inroads a dog or two have made into it. I plant, it grows, someone charges through it. grrrrr At least ours is not a digger. Digging dogs wreak havoc. Ours just kind of trucks through. She wiped out one baby lettuce, maybe more. I have seeds. There are no rabbits in the neighborhood as far as we can tell. Gotta get a fence up as a dog discourager. Expensive proposition though.

I planted more stuff tonight, including scrounged pansies that will croak soon enough. They make a spot of color till they do and cover for the summer biulbs that will come up eventually and be lovely.
