There is nothing to read here. The content is over there, to your right.

I may, however, at some point, put something here. Some day. Eventually. No pressure.

recovery

The birthday was good.

I might even be a little tipsy still. I'm betting instead that it's the lack of sleep. I went to bed shortly after 1:00 but tossed and turned and finally gave up at about 6:00.

My parents stopped by for an hour or so yesterday, then my best friend, her husband and her parents were here for most of the evening. L.'s dad brought a bottle of good red wine which we went through entirely too fast, so he sent his wife home for more. Another bottle of red and a bottle of white later, we were ready for coffee. Requisite shots of vodka were interspersed throughout.

It was a good evening.

Turning 32 has been fun.

Now I just need to recover in time for New Year's. As the plan stands, everyone will be here for the big night. My friend E. from down east should be here within the next day or so and that has me excited. The potential for a good time is huge.

Someone is bringing a karaoke machine.

Have I mentioned I can't sing?

There has already been videotaped proof from Christmas day, though you have to admire my chutzpah for singing songs I had never heard of. And I was sane enough to not try solo.

When I'm rich and famous I'll have to be on the look-out for obvious blackmail attempts.
