2008-04-28 10:27 AM Dreams There were many ways of breaking a heart. Stories were full of hearts broken by love, but what really broke a heart was taking away its dream - whatever that dream might be.
--Pearl S. Buck Thanks to those of you who have understood. Pearl understood. Some of you have, too. It just hasn’t been a broken heart that’s needed mending… I’ve watched my dreams evaporate. It’s been like a death – a dying – a loss of hope. An old lady who’s had her dreams stolen from her – and then there’s that lost love to deal with, too. I’ve been told it will take at least six years to heal. I don’t have that kind of time, I say. Despite my shadowy words, I embrace life with soooooo much light and joy and gratitude. I live on a most beautiful mountain. I have the most beautiful friends. I have the most beautiful home. I have the most beautiful good health. I have the most beautiful family. I have the most beautiful job. I am one of the lucky ones. That I know. I have so much gratitude… shame, shame on me for ever inviting a drop of gloom to soil my days. :) Read/Post Comments (6) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
