Sure seems like things have turned around and upside down. Dilana, who's been kicking ass since the beginning, is fading fast. And Storm, who was struggling the past few weeks, blasts one out of the park -- and you know that made me very happy.

It's tough to see that Dilana's votes have plummeted. This thing really should be about the music, but we all know that just doesn't happen. I think what may have stung the voters the most was when she said (to Ryan, I think): "Who gets more votes?" Could be she's learned a very painful lesson at the worst possible time that could cost her the gig. Personally, I still think she's great, but I also think she's given up. No matter, though. She's going to be a star no matter what.

As for the guys left standing, we're definitely seeing the best of the bunch. And it was nice to hear that Ryan "Dark Horse" Star has the number one download. He's on his way. I think most, if not all, the dismissed rockers will go far.

Okay, on to the UPDATE.

Summary: (my grade / band's grade).

DILANA (Behind Blue Eyes - Who / Supersoul): I hate to say this, but her cover of Behind Blue Eyes wasn't her best. Maybe it was her sore calf? It was good, real good. But not great, compared to some of her other performances. She did bounce around depsite having a bad calf and she gets an A for effort for that. Her original song was pretty good, I thought, but I agree more with Gilby that the lyrics were a bit too straightforward. It's not a good Supernova song as is, but they could make it into a Supernova song with minor tweaking. The thing with though, is that I don't think the song should be tweaked. This is a first -- Dilana doesn't get an A+.(A- / B)

MAGNI (Back In The USSR - Beatles / When The Time Comes): The Motlen Hot Iceman blasted out the Beatles classic in what has become his signature style and then he led into his original, which already sounds like a Supernova track. Is it the one the band liked the best of all four? We'll see. Ben and I liked it. Good guitar riffs, good vocals, and the crowd got into it. Perhaps Magni won't top the votes this week. I think we know who will.(A / A)

STORM (Suffragette City - Bowie / Ladylike): WHOA!!! This came out of nowhere. Storm will most definitely NOT be going home. She had (one of) the best performances of the night, and that's saying something considering all five of them. I liked that Dave and the band got behind her and gave her the credit she deserved for this one. I also think Storm has the best attitude of all the rockers, dismissed and remaining. Having Dave play guitar behind her deifinitely added something to the performance, while not detracting from the strapping, long-legged rocker. Her original was awesome. I could see her fronting the band and doing LADYLIKE and wowing the crowd. Like Dave said" "The best original over two seasons." And as Tommy said: "Urrghhhh!" The woman is a born rock star. Simply awesome.(A+ / A+)

LUKAS (Livin On A Prayer - Bon Jovi / Headspin): This man has a killer voice. I'm not sure about his arrangement of the Bon Jovi tune, but only because I was expecting to see it performed as usual. Lukas pulled it off though, and the band and the crowd loved it. His original was emotional and haunting, raw and riveting, powerful and passionate. This one could also be a Supernova song, just as it is.(A+ / A+)

TOBY (Mister Brightside - Killers / Throw It Away): The Amazing Aussie knocked it out of the park again. I think he's the new front runner in this thing. He's definitely a crowd favorite, maybe THE crowd favorite. This was the best original judging by the crowd's reaction and the fact that I can still hear it.(A+ / A+)

If any of you missed the show, go to the website and watch some of these performances.

I still think the final four will be two women, two men -- and if that holds true, I think Magni will be dismissed. He's great, but Lukas and Toby are just a bit better. I also think the band has reservations about taking a new Dad on the road.

Perform with Supernova: Gotta be Storm
Encore (orignial song): Toby
Bottom Three: Magni, Dilana, Storm
Dismissed: Magni
MY TOP 4 (in order): Toby, Storm, Lukas, Dilana
