I have a test version of JournalScape search up at:

It certainly isn't polished yet, it's missing features, etc. It can only search journal entries created before about 2 days ago, so if you can't find an entry it just might not be in the index. I'm going to do some more work on it so that entries are inserted in real time and several other things, but I just finished about a 12 hour code-fest so it's couch time for me.

You should be able to find Public entries on journals who are set to be searchable, and Group and Private entries if you are logged in during the search. There is a box on the right that will tell you what journals and groups you are logged into.
