So, I've made some chicken soup, and also some beef stew, to be taken down to my father-in-law so that, should the weather be lousy one of these days, he doesn't have to drive over to "the House" (where "the Uncles" and Aunt Betty live) to make sure he gets a meal . . .

Kathy and Emil were going to go down this weekend, but Kathy wimped out, leaving Emil to go alone. In all fairness, she has gone every weekend for the past three weeks . . . but also in all fairness, she was the one who said she'd be there every weekend; I'm a little unhappy with this bait-and-switch. Mostly I'm unhappy because it looks like I'm going to go with Emil . . . not that I mind going, but I would have liked more notice. I found this all out last night at about 9:00 after a lo-ooong day (I got home at 8:30 pm), and had to think about how to juggle my schedule for today.

I suppose I don't have to go . . . Emil could go by himself . . . but that doesn't seem good . . .
