Miss Snark, the literary agent has held my attention for a good deal of time now. I'm a little disillusioned by blogs these days and have a hard time finding any that hold my attention for longer than a sip of coffee, but she's made it well into the reaches of my radar. (I, on the other hand, tend to bore myself, so I don't blame you if you decide not to stick around.)

Her primary goal is to dispel the stupidity of those pursuing a life within the publishing industry. Her general audience consists of authors and potential authors, although editors, agents, and other more important people in the publishing industry also read it.

Recently, she's written about the ever-rising question "What is fresh writing?" And now I have a theory. These darn agents need to move. If they lived in boring places like Olympia, WA, they wouldn't be so damn hard to please! After all, living in New York is like living in the middle of the circus. After awhile the monkeys and elephants are old news and even the net-less tight-rope walker seems like a dull person.

Maybe I should move to New York.
