And all our typical fears

Sitting here, thinking about a conversation that I had last night about the natures of "reality" and "truth"--and trying not to react. Rather, I'm trying not to react out of habit, but to think through my emotional responses, tease out the root of them, and then determine the patterns that keep leading me to conclusions that I find inappropriate. I've been doing this a lot lately. Talking myself out of reacting. Thinking first. Feeling later. It's harder than it looks.
