Location: Work.
Listening: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater for PS2.

Quiet Sunday evening at 1260. Peter is playing around with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater that he borrowed last night from Dan and Shanti. We went to find Williams after having a wonderful Japanese dinner with Marshall and then coffee at Austin's, but he had managed to leave for an "after party" literally moments before we knocked on his door. We wiled away the rest of the evening across the courtyard at Dan and Shanti's, brainstorming about Battle Bot designs and reading comics (Dan introduced me to Lucifer, starring the Son of Morning from Season of Mists, my favorite Sandman compilation. It's really, really good.). Peter and I both have created our own custom skaters and are having fun learning to shred on-screen. It makes me nostalgic for the old days, when I nearly broke my neck trying to learn how to ollie and my guy friends eventually decided it would be less dangerous for me to just catch rides on their boards. Ah, to be twelve again...

Slept in this morning, then went to Hoff's Hut for a decent lunch and then grocery shopping at Ralph's. We've determined that we waste too much food if we shop every month or so and buy in bulk, so we're switching over to actually planning our weeknight meals and shopping accordingly every Sunday. I'm not sure if this is frightening or inspired. Time will tell.

After groceries, stopped by PetCo and left with a treat for everyone. Lucifer (the boa) got a heat rock, a new perch, and a fat rat. Baghera (the disturbed cat) got new food and Merlin (the Betta) got a larger bowl, as he had outgrown his original one. It occurred to me that I actually have a small menagerie in my little apartment--and I've had a recent interest in Italian greyhounds. Perhaps I'll just follow Thea's lead and get some turtles instead.
