Location: Home.
Listening: Josie And The Pussycats.

So, on Decoy's advice, we queued up this film in our NetFlix line. It has proved extremely educational in that, among other things, I've learned that I really need to acquire a monkey. Any situation can attain a completely new layer of hysteria with a small monkey screaming in the background. If you don't believe me, see this film.

Additionally, the more I see of Seth Green's comedic range, the more he grows on me. It doesn't hurt that I seem to run into the boy every time I venture up into LA.

Other tidbits? Well, I've found a university that will consider my application as a transfer student seeking a second B.A. in Anthropology (with a concentration in African studies--I would finally be able to study Swahili in a classroom *grin*). Didn't expect that one, did you? My pieces are finally starting to fall into place (*fingers crossed*). Now I just need to find one that will accept me when that goal has been achieved for the M.L.S. in Archives and Preservation. Then, I need to convince someone to send me to Kenya and to talk the British Museum into taking me on as a lowly little librarian.

In the meantime, I need to write some poetry and get going on my fantasy world-building.

I did decide to keep Eliot. He and I spent some quality time this afternoon, and he's perfectly cool with being held in the palm of my hand while I walk around the apartment. I now have to get up the gumption to actually feed his brother to my snake. Oh, the circle of life.

In closing, I'll mention that Yaga and I are scheduled for brunch with friends on the West Side at 10 A.M. tomorrow morning. 10 A.M. On a Saturday. And we have to shop for brunchy things beforehand. I love my friends, but I must be losing my ever-loving mind.

Oh, and Happy Captain Picard Day everyone.
