Am I Goth Or Not?

==================================================

Location: Home.
Listening: "Stare At The Sun" by MDFMK.

This week has been incredibly hectic. In addition to trying to finish my tasks before I leave PAS in one week, I've been asked to author exhaustive procedures on the position I'm leaving. So I find myself now employed as a technical writer as well as a coordinator. I enjoy the opportunity, but it could have come at a better time.

While I've been working, Peter finished his book. It's massive--600 pages at final print-out--and the tasks of re-reading and revision have already begun. However, the first, most important step has been completed. The full manuscript is in his hands, and I can't convey how proud I am of him. He has managed to do something that many people talk about, but few have the creativity or the discipline to accomplish. He's written a book--and I know that the late nights, anxiety, and bouts of writer's block will all be worth it when it's finally published (as I know it will be). So take a minute and drop a line to congratulate the author.

In other news, there are new additions to the gallery. After browsing several personal sites this afternoon, I realized that it's been almost a year since I had a reason to get properly "Gothed up". So, when I came home from work, I disappeared into the bathroom with my makeup bag and a camera. The new shots on my site are the result. For those who are growing weary of seeing pictures of only the mizu, I can explain that I'm trying to develop my skills in portraiture and, well, I'm a subject who's always available. I'll be branching out with my next session and trying to capture someone else on film, preferably using my Pentax and black and white film. Anyone brave enough to volunteer is more than welcome to email me at mizu@yaga-ysgs.com.

For the moment, I'm going to try to get to bed early tonight. I'm currently trying to catch up on my email and update my site, so if you've sent me a note and haven't heard from me, please be patient. I'll be getting back to everyone by the weekend. At the moment, I'm running like Eliot (whose sneeze is almost gone, by the way) on her wheel.
