Christmas tree controversy
Previous Entry :: Next Entry

Okay, so I grew up in Boston (or thereabout) and have seen the lighting of the Christmas Tree a few times. The yearly tree has been donated by Nova Scotia since 1917 because of help Boston gave them after an explosion that killed a bunch of people and wounded many others.

It's been a good run.

This year, some PCers decided to rename the Christmas Tree a Holiday Tree. And it's made some super-xians mad.

I don't get it. I mean, the friggin' christmas tree is a pagan symbol about the passage of winter!

Don't these loonies (on both sides of the aisle) know that?
