We're paying as much as 36% more than last year for common kitchen staples, like eggs, bread, milk, chicken and more.
How, then, can the Washington bureaucrats proclaim that the cost of living has risen less than 3%?
Easy. The cost of living index excludes food and fuel, ostensibly because the prices fluctuate too much to get an accurate number.
Tell it to my checkbook.
On second thought, I have the solution: stop eating.
